Almond seems to auto-detect WEP when the router is WPA
« on: October 27, 2015, 02:45:30 pm »
I just purchased an almond to extend our wireless in our house.  It sees my router's wireless SSID, but then times out waiting for the IP address.  I noticed that when I put in the "password" in the enter password step that it shows WEP below under 'Security' for my SSID.  We are most definitely using WPA and I checked a few times.  We also upgraded our home router/firewall/wireless recently just in case.  We have the netgate m1n1wall 2D13 silver as our home router/firewall/wireless combo.  Any ideas on what might get this working?

@ jmalcolm,

Ensure that the Almond has the latest firmware R201 and perform a factory reset, that should take care of the issue.

Hello!  Thank you for answering!  It was already on R201.
