Issue with Screens Connect VNC
« on: December 01, 2015, 03:59:33 pm »
I'm attempting to use Screens by Edovia to access my laptop remotely. It can use UPnP, and I've activated that in OpenWRT. Things work fine for a little bit, then I try at another time and it no longer works. I've tried port forwarding as well, and Screens Connect doesn't seem to recognize the forwarded ports. I will give more details when I get home from work this evening; I just thought there may be another person out there who might have had similar issues and could help me out. Thanks!

After working successfully for a few minutes (using automatic port mapping with UPnP), I try to run the connection test in Screens Connect again, and it returns the error "Port Mapping Unavailable. Check your router settings." UPnP is definitely turned on, and Screens Connect supports it. I've tried using port forwarding as well, but I've never been able to get it to work at all. Port forwarding works fine for remotely accessing my Plex and Calibre libraries, but for some reason will not work with Screens Connect.
