Android App Problem With Nook HDplus
« on: December 16, 2015, 01:11:24 pm »
It appears that the updated (R83 for Almond+) Android app is not available for at least one legacy device: the Barnes & Noble Nook HDplus (sftw version 2.2.1). I can still use my device for most things, just not the Securifi Almond app itself.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that my "ancient" device or the version of Android it runs can't handle some critical features (to the Almond app, anyway) newer devices support. Unfortunately, I removed the Securifi app I had before I attempted to load the new one, so I'm no longer able to do the small amount of remote Almond+ admin I  could before.

I don't imagine this will impact too many other people since most folks probably upgrade tablets and phones every couple of years. But, I'm a bit stubborn and try to use my electronic devices until they burn out, if I can.  :)

Note: This was moved from the Widget thread that is unrelated to Securifi's Almond app and is not Securifi software.

I got it as a "plug-in". I went to a tv website (cbs.com, I think) and tried to play a video. It told me I needed a Flash Player upgrade, and offered me a link. I clicked on that, opened a new tab, and it asked me some setting preferences and then seemed to freeze.
