Using Almond + to monitor home security panel
« on: December 11, 2015, 12:53:48 am »
I have a Almond + running R0080 software version and new to the concept of using a router as a central device for monitoring home security from my Iphone 5S.  I am comfortable programming rules for the peanuts, motions, door contacts, etc but would like to tie in my home security panel as well.  I would like to interface it with a simple dry contact input.  I would rather not purchase a door sensor and open it up to solder across the reed relay to trigger it if I don't have to.  Does anyone know of a zigbee or zwave device that is programmable( like universal input module) that would accept a dry contact to trigger it and create a remote notification by the Almond +?   Any suggestions would be appreciated from any of you advanced users out there.

Sincerely,
Still Learning

Fibaro has the Universal Binary Sensor for this

Or you can also use their door/window sensor which has a special contact for this, no soldering needed.
