Accessory kit or POE requirement
« on: January 06, 2016, 09:08:46 pm »
I have my almond+ wall mounted and when I need to move it to include certain devices it is a pain to do. I would love to be able to purchase an accessory kit like is available for the original almond http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KOTGJAW?keywords=securifi&qid=1452132253&ref_=sr_1_11&sr=8-11 .

If anyone knows the requirements for a POE adapter that would work with the Almond+ it is appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Found the kit for the Almond+ on the securifi listings http://www.amazon.com/Securifi-Almond-Accessory-Kit-Ethernet/dp/B011U60V6K/ref=lp_5745138011_1_12?srs=5745138011&ie=UTF8&qid=1452132857&sr=8-12

Still interested in POE info!

My Almond+ is plugged into a Belkin Battery Backup unit that provides 12v with a max of 3A. No problems ever and it even makes it semi-portable although that has only come in use twice.

The original power supply has a 2.5mm barrel plug with + center (pretty standard). It states 12v @ 2.5A. So a POE splitter that matches that size and power capacity should work. I do not want to shut my network down right now to try myself... Sorry.
