Temperature Sensor with push notifications?
« on: January 07, 2016, 03:24:43 pm »
I'm looking to add a temperature sensor to my Almond+ zwave network (currently has 6 GE Wink bulbs). I have a large detached garage that has living space on the second floor. I'd like to be able to report the temp from the first floor (where the majority of the plumbing is) on demand. Ideally a push notification in the event the temp drops below freezing. Any suggestions?

I've been trying setup a very similar function.  I have a temperature sensor, but the current interfaces don't handle temperature very well. The rules let me set one based on temp, but I can't select less than or greater than. Not very useful.

Looking at the web socket API, it should be possible to write an app that produces notifications based on temp. It's been awhile since I've done any android programming.
