Multiple USB hub support

Lot of dongles taking up valuable USB ports.
Can you plug in a powered USB hub into one of the ports on an Almond product?

Haven't done it but since the act as a pass thru, that part should work. Whether it would recognize 4 new ports is a different matter.

Try it.

Almond+, Almond 2015 and Almond 3 all support USB hubs. We recommend using a powered hub as some of the USB devices out there consume significant energy.

Ok. I have a powered hub hanging around looking for something to do. I'll give it a try this weekend. I was planning to plug in an external drive and start kicking the tires on that functionality anyway.

Does that open up the possibility of hooking up more than two drives directly to the Almond (s)?

(@Mods/Ashok, maybe this deserves another thread)
@Shazster: Interesting question, my colleague tells me that the A+/Samba will allow you to mount both drives. On the Almond 2015 & Almond 3 on my desk I can confirm that FTP shows 2 mounts SDA1 and SDB1. Do share your experience.

Yup. Two drives mount.
I was successful by reformatting both drives (I named them Home & Home2 - an old WD my book 1TB and an ancient Iomega 1TB, both USB2.0, both formatted NTFS).
Enabled ftp & Samba in the Advanced section.
Rebooted router, fired up drive 1 and plugged it in during the downtime of the reboot.
Almond+ automounts drive during the bootup. Win10 now sees the Almond plus as a network item, with my drive listed under that.
Repeated same process, plugging in the WD Mybook during the downtime of rebooting the router.

Adding a powered hub into the mix was not successful. Granted I only have a 2.0 hub to play with, but the Almond+ did not want to deal with it. So I replugged everything back to the working configuration I have now with the two drives on the go.

Documention on the process needs to be better or updated. Ftp, samba screen differs from the screen shot on the wiki. If reboots are in fact required (I simply assumed they would be), that should probably be in the process. And the USB ports need identification.

Other than that all good.
