Mac-Filter interferes Guest Network
« on: January 14, 2016, 11:01:39 pm »

My standard setup with the Almond+ is to run the wireless network with the MAC-Filter acting as a whitelist. I just turned on the quest network and couldn't get a friends computer to connect until I added their MAC address to the white list. Shouldn't the guest network be separate from the standard network. It doesn't make much sense to me that the MAC-Filter is filtering the guest network. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Tanyl

@ Tanyl,

Mac filtering for the Almond+ applies for the complete wireless (main network and guest network), however, the guest network would not be able to access the Web UI or main network devices.
