Side loading Android app on Blackberry 10 device
« on: January 13, 2016, 08:44:05 am »
Hi
Has anyone had success using the Android app on a Blackberry 10 device?

I have the app installed on my blackberry and everything seems to work except notifications, the notification bell at the top of the app has a red X. I have the newest Android app and my Almond has the new firmware installed as of today. If I go into the sensor in the app it will show the "Device History" the Sensor history will have history of events this works ok. I have a water sensor and when I trip the sensor I see the status in the app change to flooded so that part works ok.

So the only thing I can't get working is when a sensor goes off I don't get a push notification I think that's what it would be called so no noise or message in the app.

Can anyone help me with this or have this working on a blackberry?
Thanks

@ dicex,

Tap on the settings icon right next to the sensor on the app under which you would see the option for Notifications, ensure it is set to Always or select anything as per your convenience.

@ dicex,

I just got the confirmation that, Android app doesn't support notifications on Blackberry device yet.

It is the same with the app sideloaded onto Amazon Fire Devices, this is because of changes between the systems, Even though main functionality is there.
