Weather App
« on: February 15, 2016, 12:02:22 pm »
All of a sudden the weather app on my Almond+ is showing the wrong city.

The time app is working correctly.
I have run the diagnostic app and all ok.

Is there a quick fix for this?

Thanks

@ LaVia,

Login to the Web UI--> Advanced--> Open WRT-->System--> Select Time Zone (City)--> Sync with Browser and hit apply, then check.

Oh yes, I think I asked about this a year ago. We can now only choose the capital city for the weather app. I for example live about 500km north of Helsinki in Finland,
so we have quite different weather from Helsinki. Last year it was said that you would change this so we would be able to choose closer location for weather app. Is this
still happening?

Mine also likes to travel around nearby towns. After a reboot it usually returns to my actual location for a while, but within a couple of weeks it begins "roaming" around. Next town over, then the next town in the other direction, then one about 15min from me.
No clue why it does this.

@ Shazter,

I am positive that shouldn't happen, did you try Sync with Browser?

Not yet. The location seems to be stable lately (two weeks so far), so I haven't had a need to try correcting it. If it happens again, I'll post snapshots and try syncing.

I Live in Calgary, and the Almond+ thinks I live in Cochrane. Weather is a bit different.

We need a way to tell the device where we live, in case it gets this wrong.
