Reflash Factory Default... / Recover Router
« on: July 08, 2016, 12:48:01 pm »
My almond+ router is not booting past the white screen...  Is there a way to reflash the almond+ back to factory defaults.    Possible using a reset button and/or serial cable..  I think the os got corrupted.

@ FreeRollen,

It is an issue with the hardware, please reach our support team at (support@securifi.com).

Ashok. This would be a great future capability. A button that would completely send the system back to a factory default state without any hardware or configuration settings.

@ Baldo,

There is a factory reset button on the Almond+ at the top right side, however, the issue what you are facing is related to the LCD which would not be getting resolved even after performing factory reset.

So.....if I press the factory rest button... All the connected devices will be wiped and the system will go back to a state as never been used?  No devices added?  Because when I asked this question before I was told I still had to remove the zwave devices manually.

@ Baldo,

Factory reset will not change anything related to the Home Automation. If you are doing Remove All that is when all the devices would be removed and a new network would be created for connecting the sensors and yes, Z-wave we have to still manually follow the proper removal process to add them again.

Thank you. So again. A button on the screen to take the ENTIRE system back to the original factory setting would be nice for those testing out devices. We could back up our configure and test various devices and then send the device back to a clean state to work out different configurations etc. thanks again.
