Software upgrade not displaying correctly in web GUI
« on: March 30, 2016, 08:11:09 am »
I have two Almonds and just upgraded both from AL1-R196-L299-W33 to AL1-R201-L302-W34.  The new firmware is showing correctly on the device itself under the About app, but still shows AL1-R196-L299-W33 in the web GUI.  Rebooting or removing power for a few minutes, then starting does not help.

Is there a list of improvements with AL1-R201-L302-W34?  It would be nice to know if some of my prior disappointments have been addressed.

@ MVL,

Try to clear the complete browser cache and then verify it on Web UI. R201 would take care of the Open DNS Resolver and would also give us an ability to do the software update directly from the LCD.

Clearing the browser cache worked (duh on my part).

Thanks for the new features.  It would be helpful to have these listed somewhere.  It's hard to believe that only two things changed from AL1-R196-L299-W33 to AL1-R201-L302-W34.

@ MVL,

We don't have any specific new features added with the new firmware, apart from resolving the small bugs and performance issues in the back end. However, if you could let me know what exactly you are looking, so that accordingly I could assist you.
