AlmondPlus user.info sysinit: Segmentation fault
« on: April 08, 2016, 09:36:21 am »
My A+ has been locking up and unresponsive the past few days. While looking through the logs I noticed that "AlmondPlus user.info sysinit: Segmentation fault" is repeating every second. Has anyone else seen this?

Never hit that one. I assume a reboot is solving it temporarily?

Unfortunately I've had to disconnect the power to get it to boot again.  The logs have been showing this for quite a while, not sure if it's related to the lockup or not.

Run a backup. (d/l it to your PC/MAC)

Factory Reset.

Check logs.

I will try that when I have a chance. I haven't made any changes in OpenWRT

@ jcodyn,

Did you add any sensors recently?

Actually, yes... all of them.

Any idea on how I can determine which sensor is causing the fault?

@ jcodyn,

I would get back to you with an update on this, the only option for you to know which sensor is causing by removing all and adding one by one. However, give me time till tomorrow to get back to see if we have any quick solution.

@ jcodyn,

It seems like we need some additional information, first send the log files and let us know when you say Almond+ is locking up does that mean touch screen or sensors are not responding?

Is there a way to mass remove all sensors and set all of the Z-wave and Zigbee setting back to factory?  I did a factory reset on the router but all of the connected devices remained.

@ jcodyn,

No, we could try remove all which would allow us to add all the Zigbee sensors by resetting them to the defaults. However, for Z-wave sensors you have to manually follow the removal process for each and every sensor only then we could add. If you have any pattern or time period then may be we could work on it through our support team and take care of the issue for you in a timely manner.

@ jcodyn,

It is completely locking up about ever day. No network, wireless, LCD or anything is functioning. I have to disconnect and reconnect the power to get it working again.
Another thing is that I used to have my NEST connected as a sensor, but now it is not showing and I am not able to add it because it thinks its still connected, and when I try to remove the NEST I get an error stating that it can't be removed.
I have done a factory reset and configured my network from scratch and the issue is still persistent.
Having to reboot it daily is getting old. Please advise.
