WIFI Triggers Almond 2015
« on: February 06, 2017, 05:24:13 pm »
Can you please confirm if Wifi Triggers can only be used if Wifi Devices are connecting directly to Almond 2015 in router mode?

This will not work if Almond 2015 is in AP Mode?  Almond is in AP mode but I still see Active/Inactive Wifi Devices in APP or Web interface. Why would there still be 13 active devices when the inactive grace periods should have timed out long ago.

@ threader,

It seems like, we don't have any rules related to client devices, could you please try "Recycle network devices" and then check the performance.

I have a similar question.Using Almond 2015 with the latest version (AL2-R096)

I am trying to set a rule so that when my smartphone connects to WiFi, it turns on the peanut plug.
IF Phone WiFi Active -> Turn on Peanut Plug

However it is not triggering. Am I missing something?

EDIT: Nevermind figured it out. My phone Wifi stayed active even though I was disconnected. Had to wait few minutes to test and it finally worked.

There is a grace period to cover incidental disconnects or if you walk out of range. Standard is 6 minutes, it is adjustable.
