SZ-DWS04 - door/window sensor "Association failed"
« on: May 12, 2016, 01:06:23 am »
Firmware: AL2-R091

I've added the peanut and a GE Link bulb easily.
I've tried adding the door/window sensor that was bundled with my 2015 many times.

Each time it:
Shows "Adding sensor"
"Getting sensor information "
And then reports "Association failed"

Any ideas to get this sensor working?

How close are do you have the sensor to the Almond when pairing it? Most need to be within 3ft or so. Just a first recommendation.
Almond 3 mesh handling the home.

Thanks for the quick reply 👍
I tried it about one foot away and then actually resting on the Almond 2015.
Could I have it too close?

I also tried three batteries : the included one, one from another remote, and then a brand new one I picked up today.
After I reset it the LED stays on for maybe 2-3 seconds.
Sometimes it will then blink twice or so after that.

Unfortunately it never completes the last step.

@ canman007,

Try to reboot the Almond 2015 and then reset the door sensor and try pairing it while you get the message "Getting sensor information" try to trigger it. If it is still failing then please do his send logs.
