LCD UI re-organization
« on: May 18, 2016, 02:50:51 pm »
I find the LCD UI a bit confusing on my Almond 2015:

1. The "Next" and "back" navigation is inconsistent
DESCRIPTION: "Next" is an icon while "back" is just a back arrow at the top left?
LIKE TO SEE: Have "next" and "back" both be an arrow at the top or at the edges, freeing up space for an additional icon

2. functionality grouping and the display of non-supported function given certain operating mode
DESCRIPTION: There seems to have no logic around icon grouping, I find myself having to flip back and forth to find what I want and on top, I often click on functions that is not supported
LIKE TO SEE:
- A separate display label maybe at the top, to identify current operation mode
- separate pages, such as "operating mode", "automation features", "status" ... etc
- perhaps gray out or completely eliminate unsupported features given an operating mode

@ bear9rpp,

As the touch screen is very small, not sure if it is possible to implement them, but would surely pass on the feedback to our respective team. I have personally liked the suggestion for Next and Back..:)
