Need help connecting a...... treadmill
« on: June 02, 2016, 09:43:21 pm »
Hey was wondering if someone could clue me in here.  I just got a Horizon Elite T7 and for the life of me can't get it to connect to my almond +. I've gone so far as to re-connect my old DLink router and the treadmill connects right to the dlink but not the almond+.  The process to connect has me connect directly to the treadmill's wifi connection and select the network and enter a password through the web browser. Every time I put the password in it says that it's incorrect. I know the password is correct and that the treadmill can in fact connect to a wifi router, just not the almond.  I was just wondering if someone knows of a setting somewhere that would give an incorrect password error like that. This is kind of a shot in the dark and I've already contacted the treadmill manufacturer and they weren't able to help. I just know there is a setting somewhere in the almond that is causing this and need to be pointed in the right direction. Sorry to come here with such a mundane problem when everyone else is doing all this cool home automation stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

@ Tramol,

Try to reboot the Almond+ and then try connecting to it, let us know which band it is saying incorrect password. As a last resource try to change the network name and password then try connecting the treadmill.

Can't help, but I have the same problem with some WiFi security cameras, they can connect and get an IP when wired to the Almond+, but if I go into the camera settings and put in the WiFi SSID (which is detected by the camera correctly) and PSK, it always says 'incorrect password' after trying to connect wirelessly. I verified the password 3 times, each time it failed. I am returning the cameras for other reasons, but it's the first device I've found that didn't work.

I've rebooted numerous times, and changed the network name and password. Not sure on the band I've tried both 2.4 and 5.8 if that's what you're referring to. Nothing seems to work.  :-\

@ Tramol,

That's very strange, because if it is an issue with the Almond+ it should happen on all the devices, are you facing this issue on every device you connect or only on Treadmill. Did you try factory reset on Treadmill?

I don't have any other issues with my tablets phones and computers in the house and went so far as to have the treadmill company send me a new console to install and the new console has the same issue.
