devices repeatedly dropping off and rejoining as unknown devices
« on: September 15, 2016, 08:00:42 pm »
Hi - Set up almond+ a couple of weeks ago and my connected devices keep dropping off then rejoining as unknown devices.  Also, control of hue bulbs via almond app is sporadic and often their status on almond is incorrect, even when manually updated.   Sent status log and question to support via email but have not received response and cannot access trouble ticket status via link that was sent in ticket acknowledgment.  Hoping to get an answer here - I've probably just set the thing up wrong.  Current log attached.  Thanks.

@ drscram,

In which mode you have setup the Almond+ and does it have the updated the firmware?

My Almond+ does this too on occasion. I have one as the main router and the other as an AP. If I reset the device from the app it usually rejoins with the correct device ID and then I name it what I want on the app.
Almond+, 2 flood sensors, 1 motion sensor, 1 Z-wave water valve, 2 Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS - Z-Wave Smart Energy Switch, 1 Enerwave ZWN-RSM1S Z-Wave Relay, 1 GE Z-Wave Outdoor Module, 1 Enerwave ZWN-RSM2 Z-Wave Smart Dual Relay,

HI - I am using the almond as a router.  It updated the day I set it up; it says it is currently up to date.  Is there something else I have to do maunually? Thanks

Firmware version should be R089 and app should be the latest version, if yes, then please do hit recycle network devices and let us know, if you are still facing the same issue.

I've been away but am back now and it is still doing this.  Very frustrating.  Looks like others are having trouble with it rebooting recurrently and also with it dropping sensors repeatedly as well.  I am about to pack it up and just go to a regular router until someone solves these issues.  Any new advice before I do?  Thanks!

"is not in any valid net for upstream VIF."

My logs have been riddled with this error since day 1, regardless of firmware, and there seems to be no one at Securifi able or willing to explain exactly what this entry means, it's impact on my network, or how to remedy it.

Me: What does this mean?
Securifi: Everything's fine.

I have given up asking.

You can ignore them completely, because they don't impact any performance issues with the network. It is coming from IGMP proxy, related for debugging purpose. Let us know, if you are facing any issues with the network.
