I 2nd this request! NetSNMP would be a great addition, although I understand the implications of adding and SNMP agent to network device. I'd be happy with some basic std IF-MIB support.

Mostly just to see if they would build, I have built snmpd, snmpd-static, and snmp-utils and pushed it to my repo. I have not tried to install it, and make no guarantees about it working or not breaking things (although I imagine it's relatively unlikely that non-kernel ipkgs would actually break things). But you're welcome to give it a try if you want. Obviously this doesn't integrate snmp with A+ devices, but you could do that with websockets I imagine. Uses basically the same installation procedure as mochad, instructions at
