Add virtual triggers/switch to rules engine
« on: June 12, 2016, 04:30:42 am »
I'd like to see the addition of virtual triggers or (status) switches
in the rules engine to make it more powerful and usable.

Currently I have a rule that turns on a light in a room
when I pass a motion sensor In the hallway on the way in.
But I also want to turn off the lights in that room when I pass
the same motion sensor on the way out. Since the light status
(on or off) can't be used as a trigger condition, the only way I could
make the rules work is by using mode as a trigger, toggling the mode
value at the output part of each rule to make them mutually exclusive.

As I add more automation, I think I'll have more cases where I'd need
To use a logical status place holder. I hope Securifi can add more "mode"
Flags in the near future.
