z-wave devices not responding
« on: June 28, 2016, 06:23:28 pm »
Lately I´ve got more and more problems with the z-wave devices, do not know if it is the router or the devices, seems unlikely though that all of the devices would crash at the same time. Exaples:
-APP shows device is "OFF" but light is "ON". (Fibaro/TKB)
-Device can not be turned ON/OFF via APP. (Fibaro/TKB)
-Trying to dim them doesn´t always work. (TKB)
-Router/APP shows Smoke detector is "OK" it is not even connected. (Fibaro)
-Router/APP shows Smoke detector battery 100% always (did not go down even 1% in over a year) (Fibaro)
-Router/APP shows Multisensor battery 100% always, has not changed in about 8-9 months (Fibaro)

@ Paholainen,

Try to send the log files, which would help us in diagnosing it.

Have sent the logs, also tried to reset the devices, still doesn´t work properly. I could turn them ON, but not OFF. When turning ON, "updating sensor data" shows for about 30 sec, then "sorry could not save sensor data" but light turns ON

Yesterday even the motion sensor flipped out. Shows motion detected all the time and luminance 524 lux, even at night time.

@ Paholainen,

We got the log files and everything seems to be fine, battery won't update automatically need to tap on the battery icon through LCD UI. Coming to the Fibaro not working through app, does it work through any other UI and also what about the local connection?

Battery won't update through LCD UI. I can turn ON the TKB via local connection but not OFF. Fibaro works intermittently via local. The motion sensor is still stuck at 524 lux and motion sensed. The HA has been unstable since I got the router, I have had to remove and add sensors several times I have 4 sensors and had to add them 25 times, at least, all together.

@ Ashok

Any idea why I can not update the battery status? I removed all sensors, and added them again. Now I can turn on/off the Fibaro switch, but it takes about 10-15 seconds from when I press ON/OFF in the APP or the LCD.

@ Paholainen,

Dynamic updates won't happen on the Z-wave, we need to tap on the Battery icon to get the status. Coming to the slow response, let us know the distance between the Almond+ and Fibaro and how about from the device?

I tried tapping the icon like you said. Nothing happens. The sensors are 5-7 meters from router in line of sight. It worked kind of ok in the beginning, with quick response, now it is hopeless. Even the rules stops working after a while, and they worked fine in the beginning also, now I can not even get the rules to work anymore.

@ Paholainen,

I am positive, we shouldn't be facing any issues like this, however, let me check if we need to work on this real time and would send you PM on the same.
