PS3/PS4 Connection Problems
« on: June 23, 2016, 06:39:02 pm »
I've been hoping it would be fixed in the last two releases of the firmware, but my PS3 and PS4 will have problems with a continual download.

The weirder thing is that my Xbox 360, Xbox One, laptop, etc. will be fine. My PS Vita tends to have this same problem too though.

I've noticed even when I do an internet connection test, everything will be fine except the download and upload test that will fail.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Why is this only happening to Sony products?

The router itself is in standard router mode and this occurs on the 2.4GHz wireless, but not while on wired ethernet.

@ AshTR,

It could be because of the interference try to change the channel and also set the channel width to only 20 and check.

Sadly, I've tried this to no avail. I've tried resetting the router settings, changing the channel, trying DMZ on and off, even alternative DNS servers. None of these worked.

I don't know if it helps, but I did turn on my PS3 after a long time and redownloaded InFamous from the play store and I did not have any issues.

How do you have your Almond+ setup? Maybe I can figure how mine differs and see what's causing the problem.

Do you get any #80 error ? I don't know if I can help, but I'll try :-)

Can you take photos of Settings -> Network Setting ?

From googling around solutions are

1. Disable media streaming
2. Check NAT Type and set it to 1 or 2.
