NYCE hinge sensors at Lowe's
« on: July 04, 2016, 10:22:30 pm »
I saw the NYCE ZigBee door hinge sensors in all colors marked $5 off. Still kinda pricey for my taste, but if this is the start of clearance pricing I'll be all over it in a few months!

Those are the hinges that have the sensor built in? What is their normal price? Do they work with A+, A15?

Yeah, they are a hinge and they had 3.5" and 4" versions in three colors all with rounded corners. I think they started at $50.

I believe they're HA 1.2 and would pair right up, but I haven't seen any confirmation on these forums that they work. Another price cut and we'll find out ;)

Wonder what their range is, with the metal housing. Unless they used that as part of the antenna.

I remember seeing somewhere around here that Securifi was getting some of all of the NYCE sensors. Looks like that happened as there are a bunch on the compatible list, just not this one. Found this on Amazon sold by NYCE for $45.

Verified Compatible with: SmartThings, Securifi, Zipato, Telegesis (more to come...)

They should be the same as the regular NYCE door/window sensors, just integrated into the door hinge mechanism.

They're down to $25 each in my area, both sizes and all colors. In for 4!

Let us know how they work! I haven't had any luck at my Lowes for most clearance items, and it isn't close by so I don't often get to check out these deals.

Not much has been on clearance at mine either and I live fairly close. The best deal I have gotten lately was their last Leaksmart valve for under $40.

I just paired one and the status changes quickly. Haven't mounted to the door yet...

They had a number of HA things on sale. Nothing really of interest to me, yet. An Iris leak detector was marked down a little but not enough to make me bite.

I wish I could've hooked onto those though, I bought 3 total shutoff valves (and would like at least 2 more) but have been paying more than that.
