triggering alexa to say something or a mp3 file

It would be nice if you could have a rule that triggered Alexa to welcome you home based on wifi detection or door sensors.  Or alexa could tell you that a window was just opened.

I dont believe the Echo supports either of those kinds of actions at this time.

A lot of that depends on what the Alexa APIs open up for people to do... and I do not see any evidence they are going to let people do that (yet). I am sure if Amazon did, it would be great for Securifi to take advantage of, but the key there is Amazon making it possible in the first place.
