Trouble pairing Remotec Zwave ZFM-80
« on: August 24, 2016, 06:56:54 am »
I purchased a couple of Remotec Zwave ZFM-80 Binary on/off switches but can't get them to pair with my Almond. Is there something I'm missing here?

*Edit* Just discovered that my Australian Almond+ Z-wave radio uses 921.42 MHz while the US Z-wave devices use 908.42 MHz.

Anyone aware of workaround for this, or do I need to return these to Amazon?

Unfortunately you will most likely need to return them. The Almond+ itself cannot be switched in frequency. I did some checking but have not found anything like a "frequency bridge" that would allow those to work. Although in many countries it is illegal to use frequencies other than specified (usually because the government has assigned that frequency to something else).

Fillibar is correct, there is no way to use these and their frequencies are government assigned so they can't be changed. You'd be better off retuning them and purchasing some sensors for your region.

Thanks guys. I will return, and hopefully find a Zigbee relay that's compatible.

I have seen many companies use the country in the model number i.e. Z Wave Door Sensor model 302ZUS or 302ZEU. Just something I noticed that may be helpful in checking out sensors.

Are there any Almond compatible Zigbee relays/switches available?
