Hello,
I recently installed a Linear WD500Z-1 Z-Wave dimmer wall switch. But when I turn the switch on/off using the rocker on the switch itself, the almond+ router doesn't trigger a notification. However, when I turn on/off/dim using the almond app, notification is sent each time. I noticed if I double press when using the rocker switch to turn on/off notification is sent, but it contains a wrong dimmer value instead of saying either on or off. Anyone worked with this dimmer switch on their Almond+ router? Is there a way to configure it to send correct notification from the switch?

Thanks!

Some dimmers are a little off because they report the value as they are adjusting, i.e. right after the button is pressed they report their status which still indicates it is off, or at a lower level than it actually finished at. Don't know if that is the case in this situation. Also, not all outlets / switches report correctly because of hardware restrictions due to copyright issues in the US.

I have only this variety of dimmer switch. I have never found a way to send the correct dim value. It does not seem that the switches are capable. The only way to get anything is the double taps and even that is flaky in my experience.

Unfortunately, the linear does not support "Instant Status". This is the feature that lets Almond know that someone physically turned on the switch. The GE does not support this as well. The only device in the US that supports this is the Leviton switches.
