Osram Lightify Dimming Switch
« on: May 19, 2016, 08:35:20 pm »
Anyone had any luck with these?  They're zigbee switches, but they screw on over top of your existing switch.  They're cheap, $29 on Amazon... unfortunately, they show up as a ZigbeeTemp Sensor in my Almond+

Did it give you any options to chose from, or did it just add it as a temp sensor?

Also, just to make sure I was looking at the right one, is this it?

Yes, that's the module.  No options, just came up as a ZigbeeTemp Sensor, with a temperature of something like 253.4 degrees.

Interesting module, but not quite what I hoped... Thought it would trigger a lightswitch it was mounted on, but all it does is let you control your scenes and devices... so you turn on the light switch, screw this plate over top of the switch (making it inaccessible) and install zigbee bulbs, and program the switch to activate the scene to turn on/off your zigbee bulbs.

Wish someone would make one that actually toggled the physical switch, so I could use regular LED bulbs.

Actually, what I really want is a decent 3 way switch that doesn't cost $60 :P  Almost every switch in my house is a 3 way... I love the WEMO switch, but they don't have a 3-way.

Any update on this switch working as intended? It is exactly what I am looking for.
