Will two Almond+ work together?
« on: October 21, 2016, 02:02:19 pm »
I have a second Almond+. Besides range extender thru wifi, are there other features such as being able to use it as a switch? I also like to use the UI on the touchscreen to control the Home Automation devices that were connected to the first Almond+, is that possible? Lastly, I like to run a cat5e to the second Almond+, would Range Extender use the LAN instead of connecting to the first Almond thru Wifi?

Right now you would not be able to control home devices. You can use ethernet cable and put it into access point mode.

Thanks, got it to work as Access Point with Cat5e wire. Shame that it can't act as a second UI controller for the HA stuffs. I hope they get it working with future firmware updates. It seems trivial to do.
