When will you support Z-wave remotes?
« on: October 20, 2016, 04:51:35 am »
Hi!
I'm wondering when you plan to include support for Z-wave remotes?
The Zigbee remotes you support isn't sufficient since they are not available in Europe.
Z-wave remotes are the last major device type you don't support at all!

In general, Securifi should makes sure that you support at least one device in each Z-wave device category, that is widely available in all markets where you sell
your routers.

Almond+ with 2 dimmer switches, 2 binary on/off switches, 1 Qubino Flush dimmer, 1 Aeontec micro dimmer, 1 Fibaro Dimmer 2, 1 Lightify RGBW bulb, 2 Lightify Flex RGBW Led strip, 1 WeMo Bulb, 1 Fibaro magnetic door sensor, Vision PIR & temperature sensor.

Could you please let us know make and model number of the Z-wave remotes you are referring to and also what Zigbee remote works for you?

Oh anything from Nodon, Aeontec, Fibaro, Popp. Those are the brands that make widely available remotes in Europe.
In preferential order:

Aeontec keyfob: http://aeotec.com/small-z-wave-remote-control
Nodon remote: http://nodon.fr/en/z-wave/telecommande-z-wave-octan-par-nodon_7-2
Popp keyfob: http://www.popp.eu/products/controllers/kfob-remote-control/
Aeontec minimote: http://aeotec.com/small-z-wave-remote-control
Fibaro swipe: http://www.fibaro.com/en/the-fibaro-system/swipe
Fibaro the button: http://www.fibaro.com/en/the-fibaro-system/the-button

I haven't seen any Zigbee remotes for sale at the home automation stores in the nordic countries.
The only one I'm aware of is the Osram lightify switch: https://www.osram-lamps.com/smart-home/products/index.jsp
Almond+ with 2 dimmer switches, 2 binary on/off switches, 1 Qubino Flush dimmer, 1 Aeontec micro dimmer, 1 Fibaro Dimmer 2, 1 Lightify RGBW bulb, 2 Lightify Flex RGBW Led strip, 1 WeMo Bulb, 1 Fibaro magnetic door sensor, Vision PIR & temperature sensor.

Well that is because it is not supported  ;)
Securifi does not support any Z-wave remotes.

I believe most remotes are treated as secondary controllers. It would be nice to see support for them.

This continues to be my single biggest request (with custom devices, QoS, and VLAN tagging and rounding out my top 4).
