Almond Click - Smart Button with IFTTT Integration
« on: December 01, 2016, 09:03:17 am »
Hi Everybody!

Almond Click, our smart button is available for pre-order now at https://www.securifi.com/almondclick. We've also been featured on Product Hunt here: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/almond-click. You're welcome to visit the link and check us out on PH. We're doing a contest and giveaway there  ;D.

With more smart devices and services coming out everyday, the complexity of smart homes is increasing. Almond Click can make things simple again by tying everything to a physical button press. We have also rolled out IFTTT integration in the form of Almond Click triggers on our IFTTT service (https://ifttt.com/almond). This will let you control other devices as well with Click.

Going forward, this thread will be where you can post your queries and inputs about Click. We're already working on getting the deliveries on schedule to those of you who've pre-ordered. We hope you'll like Click!

Hi mparadis, I meant to say that we're hard at work to ensure that there are no delays down the line. I'm afraid shipping is still some time away. Naturally, we'll serve our pre-orders first, you'll have your Clicks soon!

Do the buttons have like a cradle/dock to mount it to a wall or something... or is it just the button....
I can see using them as a fixed button and a remote...

I might just use a small piece of adhesive velcro if I find a spot I want to put one semi-permanently. I imagine someone with a 3D printer could make one pretty quickly without issue.

Could we get specific dimensions in mm for the Click? Not that I know I will have time, but debating about making a 3D printed holder (or at least designing one).

im all about 3m dual-lock vs plain velcro.. But yeah.. id like something to attack/dock the button to.. heck might even consider some sort of magnet solution.. (amazon remotes and even some of Squeezebox remotes pre/post Logitech)...

Never used Dual-lock before, just looked it up, very impressive. Will probably give it a try, thanks!

Dual lock actually has a very good locking/holding force.. its very similar to industrial velcro... but it doesnt have a hook and loop side.. it just interlocks.... very clever improvement on velcro...

Is the dual lock the same as one of the 3m picture hanging command strips?
