Alarm.com Thermostat
« on: November 14, 2016, 11:55:52 am »
There is a relatively cheap option for wifi enabled thermostat called Alarm.com thermostat.  Easy to install and setup, and Almond can link to it but it is not a supported device.  Could someone add these to the approved list of devices.

I am seriously frustrated with this company and their lack of support for issues.  This was a standard request and I didnt even get a response on it.

It is unlikely you will get support for a wifi thermostat. I believe the only one they support now is the nest. There are numerous other options for ZigBee and z wave thermostats that are supported. Adding any IP/wifi device is labor intensive as the are no standard privileged and each company has to provide numerous development kits or similar. Alarm.com may not even support third party development because they want you to use their services.
