Thermostat issues
« on: January 14, 2017, 07:40:48 pm »
I'm really lost with the thermostat problems I'm having. I tell Alexa to set temperature to 67. I watch my thermostat light up and set the temp to 65. It does not heat, I get into the almond app and see that the thermostat is idle. the "high" setpoint is 65 and the "low" setpoint is 71. I raise the "high" setpoint to 67 and the thermostat says running and heat starts working. What is Alexa doing? Why, when I specify a temperature does almond sets it 2 degrees lower? And finally, why are the setpoints set out of range?
3x Cree connected bulbs - mostly working, some toggle failures using the app; Monoprice PIR - working, waiting for temperature rules;  Trane Thermostat - working; Linear T500Z - working; 3x GE outlets - working; Aeon G2 micro switch, working.

I noticed mine would do similar shenanigans with the thermostat set to auto mode, but would set it correctly when in heat or cool mode.
