Using the minimote (zwave) to control Hue connected to A3 or A+
« on: February 07, 2017, 11:37:19 am »
I still dont get setting up the Aeotec minimote for dimming....
Ideally id like to click to on and off, and click hold to go through the dim settings... or set one button to raise the brightness and one to dim.... and click on/off?

Suggestions?

I thought remotes didn't work? Or did I miss that and they are working now?

yeah its very odd that they haven't implemented support for remotes. They support all other types of Z-wave devices.
Almond+ with 2 dimmer switches, 2 binary on/off switches, 1 Qubino Flush dimmer, 1 Aeontec micro dimmer, 1 Fibaro Dimmer 2, 1 Lightify RGBW bulb, 2 Lightify Flex RGBW Led strip, 1 WeMo Bulb, 1 Fibaro magnetic door sensor, Vision PIR & temperature sensor.

I've also been waiting for the minimote support... I bought one several months ago hoping it will work and it's just collecting dust right now.

I do not think there is support for any secondary controllers at this time, which is why the remote does not work yet.
