It's that time of the year again- Aeotec Aeon Labs
« on: May 24, 2017, 10:13:14 am »
Numerous Aeotec devices are being peddled as coming soon. The ones I don't remember seeing before are a camera, sound sensor, some updated wall switches / panels (some are pretty neat).

Camera: 1080p, Sound Detection, Motion Detection. Not much else mentioned, http://aeotec.com/z-wave-camera

Sound Sensor: Glass Break, Presence, Smoke, CO & CO2 (all by sound) http://aeotec.com/z-wave-glass-break-sound-sensor

Switches:  http://aeotec.com/z-wave-in-wall-switches

Touch Panel: Requires Nano Dimmer (or one of their older models) A couple updates to the touch panel, which seem very sleek. http://aeotec.com/z-wave-wall-switch

Wall Mote: Z wave built in. Like a 2 or 4 panel Click with each controlling multiple scenes via press and hold, swipe up, swipe down, tap. 3 inch square (1/2 thick). Seems pretty cool. Has a battery and magnetic wall mounting plate. Wall mote was available I guess. But is out of stock now and the reviews are promising but not stellar. http://aeotec.com/z-wave-wireless-switch

Edit:

Also a new water sensor mentioned here http://z-wavealliance.org/three-new-z-wave-security-products-aeotec-display-isc-west/

Water Sensor 6 with optional Dock: Seems like an upgrade and can be mains / battery powered, built in siren (I assume piezo) And the Aeotec video on their products page also lists some info about it. Seems expansive and a really neat addition. Their water sensor page hasn't been updated yet though.

ISC West apparently had several of these on display but I haven't hunted down any more info based on that yet.

Have you tried the Aeotec Nano switch with the Almond +?  These seem to be available now, and although expensive (at least here is Australia) they look like a good way to retrofit automation to existing analog switches.
