Securifi SZ-PIR02-CA false motion detection
« on: October 16, 2017, 06:40:37 pm »
I purchased Securifi SZ-PIR02-CA motion detector about a few months ago.

Connected to Securifi Almond +, the motion detector is set to turn trigger alarm when it detects motion when I am away from home.

Unfortunately, the motion detector has so many "false" alarms that I am tempted to remove it, I have adjusted to as low as 1/4 sensitivity and 5 seconds checking and I still get false.

Anyone has a similar problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks

@ jadeboy,

Please do send us the log files, which could help us in debugging.

I have a peq motion sensor that does this and am interested to hear if this ends up being a hardware or software/firmware issue.

It is hardware. Securifi gave me a good test: put your motion detector in an enclosed box and if you are still getting false positive - it's likely hardware.
