LAN CONNECTION DOESNT WORK
« on: December 21, 2017, 04:35:17 pm »
I bought the Securifi Almond Touchscreen WiFi Wireless Router recently, and it works very well on wireless connection.  However, i tried to connect the router with my desktop computer using an ethernet cable, and it failed.  The status of lan ports always shows a little red cross.

@ pharaohscat,

Please check, if the LAN adapter is enabled on the computer, try different cable and computer then let us know the status.

@ Joshcastaneda,

Have you tried a normal RJ45 cable, which is shipped with the Almond?

yes i've used a regular ethernet cable but not the specific one that shipped with the unit, that one is connected to the modem. the computer recognizes the adapter, which has worked with another router in the very recent past hooked up exactly the same. however, the almond unit does not recognize anything plugged into its LAN ports. i have tried a regular ethernet port on a desktop computer and it works.
