Screen is very snowy looking now
« on: February 11, 2018, 09:29:26 am »
In the beginning the display was clear.  Now the display is barely readable.  How do I fix it?

@ sec_rifi_316x,

It could be an issue with the hardware and would request you to reach our support team (support@securifi.com) with order details, S/N, Mac address and current shipping address to get the unit replaced.

I actually have the same issue. It's almost like the brightness is way too high on the display. It would be nice to have some sort of display settings to adjust brightness or contrast or something.

I have an A1A whose screen also started fading, but it was not covered by the warrantee. I found a replacement screen on the internet and have been running this screen 24/7 for over a year now with no signs of fading at all (I prevent screen sleep as I like it to show the weather forecast.)

I believe the original problem is caused by the protective front panel de-laminating from the LCD screen (a manufacturing issue)

We have been using a temporary screen setup until now and after viewing the photo example above, now makes this look to be a very reasonable way to go.

2 1/2 years with the screen on 24/7 and the replacement hasn't faded at all.
