Bitdefender BOX2 and A+
« on: June 27, 2018, 08:25:53 pm »
Hello -- Would greatly appreciate your insights - I'm not too technical. I was reading about the new Bitdefender Box2 and its ability to protect all of a home network's computers and devices including IoT. Box ends up connected between incoming internet and router. I have a lot of devices, rules and automations set up on my Almond+. Box2 setup requires the A+ in AP mode. If I add the Box into my network, apparently it takes control of DHCP, whatever that means (?) Will the introduction of a Box wreak havoc with my current Almond+ setup? Or will the A+ rules and capabilities function like always with the Box in place?

I love the idea of extra security, but not if it means the A+ functionality gets limited. Link to Box2 setup config: https://www.bitdefender.com/box/setup/configure-new-bitdefender-box-youre-using-personal-router/

thanks in advance!
Rob
