z wave devices added, but no changes in state shown
« on: July 09, 2018, 02:29:41 pm »
Hi all,   I have been using an Aeotek Zwave plus USB stick, and it picked up the zwave vibration sensor and GE zwave door hinge, but it shows their states as "NULL" and there is no way to write a rule based on their changing states from open to closed or motion to no motion.  Any ideas out there???

I would recommend removing, then adding them again. Try one first. Also, please post the exact models... Maybe someone has already run into something with them.

I am going to try removing then reinstalling the z wave sensors.  The GE door hinge is listed on amazon as: GE Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart Sensor, Hinge Pin Door Sensor, Attaches to Existing Door Hinge, White, 32563;  The vibration sensor is: Monoprice Z-Wave PlusŪ Shock Detector.   I will post when i get results from removing then adding.
