Title: Aeon Labs / Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 2nd Edition DSB29-ZWUS
Post by: bwainscott on August 19, 2014, 10:45:27 pm
I just installed two of these with no problem at all.  The Almond+ does not report the battery remaining, which the sensor reports, but sees it as a door sensor and correctly reports open/closed.

We don't report battery remaining for any sensor, but we do have a low battery warning that will get triggered when it's time to replace the battery.

OK -- that makes sense.  I guess I was a bit confused by the fact that my Thermostat interface has a "Battery %" field on it (which doesn't report anything, BTW), so I thought maybe this was a normal feature that just wasn't there for this door sensor yet.

Interesting, never seen that. Then again, I haven't personally tested every device/sensor out there so...
In fact, no-one here uses thermostats...
