Hello all i have 2 of these devices they dont pair.
Now will a future update allow it to work or does it have proprietary code like some other zigbee devices?
i would like to know so i can decide if i am going to keep them or try t return them.
-
Disregard my previous answer, this is of course a ZigBee device.
We haven't added support for it yet, but we've talked to Centralite and I'll make sure we get some of their sensors in so we can add support for them.
-
It appears that we've already got one and we'll be adding support for it in a future firmware upgrade, although I can't say exactly when this will be.
-
;D when you say you already got one do you mean the model i mentioned above?
-
Yes, that's it.
It seems like it's a fairly affordable option to get.
-
awesome! yes they are and do they dimming also, thanks
Quick question do wifi thermostats like the Honeywell brands work or it has to say zwave?
-
Well, technically any Wi-Fi thermostat should work, just not with our app. We've only tested a few thermostats to date, but more are coming.
-
:( I was able to add the sensors, but i cant control them form anywhere, web, a+ or android app. they do show up have you guys had any luck with the one you have in house? i tried 2 of them and got the same results.
-
I'm afraid we haven't added support for it yet, it's coming though.
-
Are these supported yet? They look like the most cost-effective option at the moment.
-
No, not yet, we're waiting for the package to clear customs in India so it won't be until at least the next next firmware release.
-
Any update on this or when the next update will be released? Are you also planning on supporting the centralite wall switches too?
-
Good question, I think they've added support for it, but I'll have to check.
We're in contact with CentraLite now and we'll be adding support for most, if not all of their 3-series products - http://www.centralite.com/index.php/products/3-series
The current lamp module is form their Azela series and it's only ZigBee HA 1.1, but it should still work with the Almond+.
-
Hopefully they have as I purchased a few based on this thread. Question - has Centralite even released the 3-series? I don't see a wall switch in this series- do they have one?
-
I'm not sure if they do or don't, all I know is what's on their website.
Best Buy has all the 3-series sensors/devices, they're just rebranded under Peq - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/peq-home-automation-126024
They also have Kwikset's ZigBee lock which we're working on adding support for as well.
I think the first of the 3-series devices we'll support will be the thermostat.

Unfortunately release 67 doesn't have any improved behavior so I guess support wasn't added to release 67.
-
Strange, it should've been, although it wasn't in the release notes. I'm going to have to follow up with the software team so see what's going on.
-
I didn't see it in the release notes either so I decided to post about it here (instead of the bug list). Lars, thanks for checking on this one.
-
Any update? This does not seem to be working in R069cb (beta).
-
As I think I mentioned in the release notes, the dimmers aren't supported yet, but it's coming.
-
I just upgraded to release 70. The Centralite lamp modules used to work but still needed dimmer support. I've upgraded to firmware 70 and while I can get these sensors to connect it states that the sensors can't be updated. They don't turn on or off (so can't even comment on dimming). I'm very concerned as I bought a number of these based on Lars' commitment to support and it seems like this might not happen. Please provide guidance on this...

It is happening, they've made changes to the ZigBee part though and the dimmer will be in the next firmware as our developer was focusing on the thermostat first, which will also be in the next firmware.
