Post by: cokeman on January 31, 2014, 10:28:14 am
Hi

Works as a switch, but there is no "power metering" shown on the GUI of the almond+

Ok, that's good to know.

Power metering is a bit tricky, as every single device does this slightly differently based on the solution used for power metering.
I'll let the software team know and we'll try to source one.
Any idea what they use for power metering?

Edit: Never mind, I think this will do the trick http://www.domotiga.nl/attachments/download/1067/Everspring_AN158_in_en.pdf

Well, turns out Everspring is a local company in Taiwan, so we're chasing them up to see if we can't get some samples so we can implement proper support.

Perfect...  Looking forward to testing them.

And when you are ready, I have some other "strange" devices... Kamstrup (Power Meter reader. (a plug-in to the house main meter), Danfoss HVAC

As far as Everspring is concerned, we'll be placing an order today for most of their sensors.

We might not be able to support the power meter, as they often use some kind of proprietary stuff. Do you know what wireless technology it's based on?
It would help if you could provide links for the manufacturers website for the other devices you have.

Hi

Sounds great.

All my devices are z-wave

Kamstrup: http://kamstrup.com/23588/Kamstrup-382 (Check the z-wave parts.) a technical manual they did not wan't to part with, but I did manage to get to, as they did not know how to send it to the dudes from vera...

Danfoss: http://heating.consumers.danfoss.com/Content/5509778A-764F-46CD-A624-99C20EB7DB7D_MNU17491323_SIT57.html My unit is a Danfoss Air A2, but from what I know it's the same controller on all units.

Danfoss, normaly are quite happy to help, and to share techinical data, I will be happy to aid in contacting Danfoss if needed.

Danfoss Living Connect: http://heating.consumers.danfoss.com/Content/2EB800A7-89DE-4F60-A07B-303CF6A496B6_MNU17491322_SIT57.html I guess thats on your support list also.

and there is more also (e.g. aeon 4-in-1, Remotec ZXT-120 and other stuff in the house), but lets start here.

I think we're going to be needing a lot of help adding these devices, as we have no connections with either company.
I'll see if I can't get someone from the software team to join in here and see what we can do.

Can we start in the other end  ;)
I think it'll be easier to add support for some of the other devices...  ;D

one device at a time... (And If needed, you can get SSH access, for debugging)

FYI, we've order the sensors from Everspring and should have them in a couple of weeks. We do need to ship them out to our software team in India though, so it'll take a bit longer to actually get the support in place.

We're getting the Danfoss living connect as well, since these appear to be very popular in Europe.
