We've been experiencing a strange behavior with peanut plugs in which they randomly switch on and off on their own when they're plugged in. Has anyone else experienced this or are there suggestions as to what may be causing this?
- These are quick clicks that most often do not lead to a change in state. If the PP is on, it stays on after the click. In a few cases, the state changes and the plug turns off randomly.
- The PP's click even if they're not paired with a router, such as the Almond+
- The timing of these clicks seem to be random and unpredictable
- They happen irrespective of proximity to other PP's
- We have about 15 PP's plugged in at the same time
- We are based in California, USA. The company has been unable to reproduce this issue in India.
Has anyone else experienced this in the US?

I had this happen. Update the peanut firmware. Solved my problem.

Thx @Baldo. All of the problematic PP's have the latest firmware.
Would you mind sharing when did you do this upgrade?
-
I purchased four more peanuts about a month ago from Amazon and upgraded them when I paired them.

I should clarify. I had two previous plugs which started randomly acting up. I performed an update on those two and both started working properly. Purchased the other four and updated immediately to avoid same problem. I have a total of six running.

@ hedi,
We are still testing the Peanut plugs which we got from you and so far they have been working fine, got an update from our team that they are working on building a new stack which could solve the issue. However, you may have to wait at least for 2 weeks.

@baldo, are you in the US? Were you able to get power readings prior to upgrading the firmware?
@ashok, thx for the note. Yes, we're working closely with the rest of the team as you know but there isn't a clear path forward at this point unfortunately.

@ hedi,
I would personally take care of this and update you the status the moment firmware is ready.

@Ashok, thanks for the encouraging reply. We're really looking to the whole team at Securifi to fix this ASAP.
