I installed a smartcode 910 lock to be the first sensor in using my almond+. I cannot get the almond to pick up the zwave card (card model #450191) from the 910. The LEDs on the card light per the instructions but the almond does not see it. Others apparently have had luck with the 910 and almond+ so I am not sure what I'm missing. I should add that I had the almond within 12" when pairing and also reset the sensors on the almond with no success. Maybe only some are having luck with the 910's? Is there an estimate when the would all be supported?
Otherwise, the almond+ is operating fine.
Thanks for any help.

Hmmm, that's strange.
Can you try doing Add Sensor, Remove, then perform the pairing of the lock, this should reset the Z-Wave module in the lock. You should see something along the lines of "Unknown sensor removed" in the LCD UI if this works. Then try adding it again and see if it works.
I take it you're aware that the Z-Wave frequency has to be the same of your Almond+ and the lock, as Z-Wave operates at different frequencies and we've already had one guy import some stuff from another Z-Wave region, which doesn't work.
-
How do I confirm the zwave freq? I've tried removing the sensor at the lock which is nothing more than pushing the same button to connect.

I can't find if you're a backer or not, nor do I know where you're located, but as far as the Almond+ goes, if you look through the grille on the back, on the right hand side, you'll see a small green PCB which has a clear metal part on it that'll say US or EU or something else. As for the lock, I don't know, but I assume it's US, based on the fact that it's Kwikset.
-
Thanks...yes, I confirmed the unit is a US version and I am in the US. I did receive my almond second hand and really love how it runs my network. Maybe the zwave card is not working in the lock? LEDs work though.
I now see that the current sw version is R065 so I need to update it to R069. However, when I go to the IP and type in root/root for the login, I just get a blank page. http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=How_to_upgrade_the_Firmware_-_Almond%2B_2014

Just do a hard reset and you'll be able to get into the web UI, it's a bug, although I'm surprised it's affecting you at this late stage.
-
Ok, I did a hard reset per http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=Hardware_reset_button_-_Almond%2B_2014 but I still get a blank page when trying to access the web UI.
-
Have you tried a hard refresh of the browser so it's not a cache related problem? If it still doesn't work, please contact the support team, as that shouldn't be possible.
-
Tried that without success, even used 3 different browsers. I'll contact support, thanks.
-
Ok, I'm at a bit of a loss, I think we're going to have someone from the software team help out to investigate what's going on.
-
The support team already got back to me. Since I had sw ver R065, the default login of root/root does not work. You have to go into >Status>Web Admin to see the password assigned.
I have now updated to R069 but the almond+ will still not pair with the Smartcode 910 lock.
-
That still doesn't explain the white screen you were seeing though.
As for the lock, I'm surprised that doesn't work, but can you check with Kwikset?
I tested locks way before we had any kind of support for them and I could still pair and unpair them no problem.
-
It sounds like you have removed unpair the lock at the lock, have you removed it from the Almond+? If this is your first device, then just go to the Almond+>Add Sensor>Remove
-
Yes, I have removed both at the lock and the almond.
-
Apparently you need to tap the B button on the lock twice to add/remove the lock.

Mine did not work that way but good to know. What ended up being my fix was instead of using "Remove All" on the almond+ was just to use "Remove". I'm not sure why but that is what tech support walked me thru and it unpaired a previous unsuccessful snyc and then paired successfully with "Add".
Thank-you for your help!

Remove all would purge the sensor list on the Almond+ and it's possible that since you had an unsuccessful pairing the first time, that it messed up the sensor list somehow and the remove all cleared that problem. Normally you shouldn't use the remove all option, as it'll just purge the sensors from your Almond+ without resetting them.
