Title: Almond+ Rev80 and Kwikset 99160-003 Touch Screen Deadbolt
Post by: SecureComp on July 27, 2015, 08:59:53 pm
Kwikset 99160-003 Touch Screen Deadbolt - $229 Amazon Prime

Installed a couple Kwikset ZWave locks (910,916) with an Almond+ today, worked.

Don't think the 916 is on the approved sensor list but I will test it for a week or two and then add it.

Paired up the first time, found sensor but didn't identify.
Paired a second time and the Almond+ identified it as a lock.

LCD User Interface works.
Android works for opening/closing lock.

Haven't tested User Pins or IOS app.

@ Securecomp

How's your Kwikset 916? Does it work well with A+? I'm planning to buy one of those but I'm still not 100% decided if I will go with Kwikset or with Yale Real Living.

We are running 2 Kwiksets with the Almond+ and it works like a champ.

I would like to see more features added to the app, notification on who entered (by PIN identification) and another feature or two, but they absolutely work properly.

Takes a little getting used to if you activate features such as the 30 second auto lock but that has nothing to do with the A+.

Trickiest part of the install is getting the door, bolt and door jamb properly aligned for smooth lock operation, again nothing to do with the A+.

I can code up the apps I want to get the data I outlined above but would rather just have it built into the existing Andriod/IOS apps.
