Title: XBMC States
Post by: jzh797s on March 30, 2015, 11:43:27 am
It would be great to see some integration with Kodi (XBMC) so that states are passed much like how it is done w/ MiCasaVerde allowing scenes to be triggered.

I am considering buying a MiCasaVerde for just this reason.

Very cool, and wouldn't be too hard to implement. Obviously would be better if the Almond+ had things like plugins, so one person could write it and distribute it, rather than making people edit code or configuration files on the filesystem. But for now at least, specifically, something like this

could be tied to a listener which uses the SDK. I don't think the SDK does rules/scenes (at least no new version of the SDK has been released since R65 I think), but for now you could create "rules" with a config file. If I get a bit of time, maybe I'll create a mockup for the xbmc side.

p.s. It will be a long time before I actually call it Kodi ^_^.
