Title: how to update minidlna

hi,

the current version of minidlna running on the almond+ is 1.0.18, which was last modified in 2010, written on sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/minidlna/files/minidlna/). Is it somehow possible to update minidlna by myself?
Is there a reason, why almond+ doesn't include an up to date version of minidlna?

The Almond+ doesn't include up to date versions of a lot of things.
I can't give you an ETA on when we'll update it either, as it's not really a high priority right now as we have more pressing issues.
Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for, but once we re-release the GPL code, we'll most likely get some community members porting a lot of stuff over.

Honestly, I don't know. Not right now anyhow, but maybe once we re-release the GPL code, as then it'll be possible to port things like that over.
