Title: List of Working Sensors (USA) and Home Automation
Post by: toppquality on January 21, 2015, 09:52:15 pm
My list of working sensors:
I have several GE receptacles and plugs working, a GE outdoor plug working with huge string of low wattage lights
A Lowes CT101 thermostat,
A couple of GE Link dimmer bulbs
A First Alert smoke detector

Upgraded to R069cb with no problems to report after which I installed:

An Ecolink PIR, paired as soon as I inserted the battery
An Everspring Door sensor, paired as soon as I pulled the mylar cover off the battery
A Leviton DZMX1dimmer
A Lowes brand GE/Jasco dimmer switch
A Lowes brand GE/Jasco on/off switch
A Lowes/Utilitech 95db Siren
I have used the HA UI and have some simple things like a light turn on when front door opens
I’m wanting to use my siren when the door opens or motion sensor triggers but that's not up yet. Soon I hope.... Peace...

Lars just mentioned in another thread the sirens should be included in next firmware for the actions, I am also looking forward to support for that. Quite the list of items you've got paired already. Can I ask what the PIR sensor is reporting, if it is working and whether it works as a trigger for automation yet? Thanks!

Edit: friend =/= thread  :)

Thanks, I was debating picking up a couple of the Leviton DZMX1-1LZ today. You just made my decision for me, since earlier posts all said that they were not recognized.

@toppquality

The utilitech siren is working as well or is it just paired? Thanks!

I have the monoprice PIR sensor, it's paired and can be used as a trigger to turn my outside lights on. On the display and iOS app it shows as motion, or no motion, and on the LCD it also shows the temperature in Celsius.  Don't know if the Ecolink shows like that though.

Hi,
The siren works just as on/off, no HA support yet, coming soon (I hope). The PIR is working perfect. I just now set it to turn on a bathroom light as a test... works as planned. I have some more things planned when I have more time this weekend. Hope this helps...

I need to read slower, I thought you said you tested the siren with the bathroom light. I would hate to be the person visiting you, have to use the bathroom and be greeted by siren. Could make for a messy bathroom.

Now that's funny...

I know they were being mentioned separate but the image of someone walking into the bathroom... the lights coming on as soon as they open the door or start to walk in... but then a minute after they close the door a siren goes off and the lights strobe. Sounds like a candid camera moment right there if it would not be totally inappropriate.

Even easy to do:
If Motion then Lights on
If Door closed and Motion then Delay 1 minute and Alarm On

Seriously though... I wanted to add that I have included a new Yale Security YRL-220-ZW-0BP door lock to my HA system. It was perfect. Added the z-wave mode put the batteries in hit the correct sequence of buttons and it paired right up. Have it set up to turn lights on in hallway until locked. It's just a simple HA command. I will work more and post later.

Took a wild shot and bought a Vera VistaCam 700 no luck... It's proprietary and going back tomorrow. Got another ever spring door sensor, it works great pairs up as soon as you pull the battery tab to give the battery contact. Getting a Philio 3 way sensor in a day or  two, will let all know how that works...does anyone know when well get some simple notification rules? Thanks everyone for all your support and help... love is the word...

I don't think we've added support for Philio yet. We've been a bit slow at getting some things that we have working, but as we often only have one sample of things, I can't test things here  :-\

In what way was the camera proprietary? Any Wi-Fi or Ethernet based camera should work with the Almond+, we just don't have any kind of integration in our apps/UI's for cameras at this point in time.

Notifications are part of the mobile apps, at least for, as I've pointed out elsewhere, but we're about a month behind schedule on getting those out due to some issues with the backend. Fingers crossed they'll have those fixed in the update that was just done to the cloud side.

I think it was mentioned that notifications are coming in the next app (non-beta) releases. Not positive. Should be soon I know Lars mentioned that the apps had thus been far delayed working out a few irksome bugs but should be out soon. I'd put that at within the next month.

And before I could post my reply Lars is there to report the same  :P

He has a knack for that.  :)

The VistaCam 700 is proprietary to the Vera system as far as integration goes. I just went ahead and returned it.

The Philio PSP01-2 is a three way sensor, motion, temp and light. It paired right away and is recognized as motion. Haven't played with it yet but am looking forward to seeing if I can get it to work by turning on a light when triggered. The light to be triggered only if the room is dark.

As I said, we haven't added support for the Philio sensor yet, but we have one and it's coming.

Added a FujiKam FI-361 to the my home today. HD, PTZ and only 99.99 on Amazon. Great cam for the money... all the bells and whistles. Works very well with my iPhone, modest features on the app but, all that is needed and a good UI.
