Hi
I just got my "Remotec Z-Wave ZXT-120 IR Extender for Air Conditioners" (http://www.remotec.com.hk/zaspx/product_content.aspx?aboutno=36&subaboutno=45&main=f (http://www.remotec.com.hk/zaspx/product_content.aspx?aboutno=36&subaboutno=45&main=f))
from Amazon(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJBBYS0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJBBYS0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00)), but after peering I found out it's not supported!
This is very important to me, as have many Split AC units, and want to turn them on while away.
Are you guys supporting them or should I return my Almond+ ??? ?
Also, are there any option to control AC Split unit with other Z-wave IR blaster(I'm looking for at least 5) ??
Thanks,
Zaatour36

The manual say...
"The ZXT-120 can work with any Z-Wave compliant controller or gateway supporting the following Z-Wave commands.
- Configuration Command Class
- Multilevel Sensor Command Class
- Thermostat Command Class
> Thermostat Mode Command Class
> Thermostat Fan Mode Command Class
> Thermostat Set-point Command Class"
So may be work without diffculties with Almond+. Please if you try it let me know
Regards

@ Zaatour36,
I see that it is not listed under compatibility list, however, please do send the logs with the model number. So that I could check with my team and get back to you with an update.

@ Zaatour36,
I just got a confirmation from our team that Remotec Z-Wave ZXT-120 IR Extender for Air Conditioners would work with our next release, however, only through LCD UI for now.

In which release you are going to support it?
-
@ pluggin,
The next version of firmware release would have support for it.

Support is great, since I was actually looking at these as well. However really need app support, not just LCD. If I am at the LCD, I can just grab the A/C remote and turn it on/off. Wanted it so we did not have to leave a/c on (even on power save mode) all day. Would be much better to be able to turn on when left the office and have the house cooled off when we got home. Not worth buying one of those overpriced noisy Aros just to have true remote control.

Is the IR emitter confirmed working? I'm thinking about setting this up but would like to not invest if it doesn't work.

Securifi Staff,
Do you guys have any update about when we are going to be able to control our ZXT 120 in our Tablet/phone Apps??? This is one of the best products to control split air conditioners in market and Almond+ should connect it!
If you guys took so long to adapt products to your tech... MicasaVerde controls will be our one option for our home control.

@ alexandrecres,
Our next release of iOS and Android app has the support for this.

Hi guys!
After the update (AP2-R083 on Dec 2015), I can confirm the unit(Remotec Z-Wave ZXT-120) is working as intended via the Almond Android app, and have tested it out (removed/added it back again) with no issues.
I'm planning on purchasing this for every room, enable to start the AC unit remotely during the warm weather.
Note: When pairing, select "ZWtoACIRExtender" on the Type of the sensor enable to get it to work. Also, you need to input the IR code from the vendor code list (https://www.remotec.com.hk/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/8377_V16_codelist_F829-8377-0000.pdf)
Thanks guys for the support, :D

Hi,
I have tried to connect the ZXT-120 with Almond+ by using the LCD add sensor and pressing the connect button on the ZXT-120 but it won't connect. Nothing happen even the light on the ZXT-120 light up. Any different if the ZXT-120 is from US (ZXT-120US) and my Almond+ is from EU?
-
@ joechanwg,
Z-wave frequency changes from region to region and we can't connect one region sensor to the other region controller.

@Ashok True, they have different versions from each region

@ joechanwg Try following the instructions from the manual, and keep the sensor connected via usb
Also, @Ashok
I Have mentioned this before in an email. as well as in a post under the Android App, that my IR "Remotec Z-Wave ZXT-120 IR Extender" shows the temperature settings wrong, compared to the LCD interface.
You can see the Android app offer "High Temperature" Settings, and "Low Temperature" Setting, which in reality, my Split AC unit only offer a fixed command of a given temperature!
Attached is the settings from both Almond+ and my phone
Thanks for your support

Has anyone figured out how to put an A/C unit into its Energy Saver mode?
