Title: Google's OnHub now offering limited HA
Post by: mparadis on August 31, 2016, 01:28:29 pm
Announced today, Google's OnHub router now supports Phillips Hue devices. They also have had IFTTT support for about 4 months. Their devices include several HA protocols including ZigBee as part of Thread Weave and Bluetooth Smart. Interesting to see what their long anticipated arrival into this space will do for the entire industry.

There is also the currently unreleased Google Home which is also looking to compete with the Echo.  So their may be some overlap of some kind.  It will be interesting to see how this all folds out.  While there is also in iOS 10 with the Home app, which seems to be apples biggest move since announcing the stagnant HomeKit.
